No One Will Take Your Joy

“The flower that blooms in adversity is the most rare and beautiful of all.” .

We all are different. As a seed we all preserved to fight to get too good soil to grow. Despite all the adversity we still were able to plant roots to grow!

I know I am not the only one who never thought my life would end up this way!

2020 was the year of transformation for many. I thought having a hysterectomy was going to be a huge adjustment it doesn’t compare to not being able to breathe for each inhale was like moving a piano unassisted. The work was so hard and only by the grace of God am I still here to tell it!

Life is like a joyride. It has a lot of ups and downs. There will be moments when you will feel on top of the world. And there will be moments when you will be questioning your very existence. The only wise thing to do is, find the silver linings and look out for the tiny moments of happiness. Seek to find the tender mercies of god. The one’s you know are just for you.

Talking about all the downfalls that life offers, dealing with chronic illness certainly takes the cake away. Chronic illness is more common than you may realize. Many famous personalities are known to have chronic illnesses. If not famous, you and I may have encountered people personally battling some chronic disease.

Have you been diagnosed with a chronic illness and are looking for silver linings? If so, then you have arrived at the right destination.  I am here to help offer a cheer or a shoulder as a person who has overcome and still pushing to make it each minute.

As a spiritual barometer, joy is not a slave to circumstances. The light of Jesus's face shines in the darkest night. Jesus said, No one will take your joy from you (John 16:22).

Secrets to Happiness Despite Pain or Chronic Illness

  1. Follow passions. Finding purpose and meaning in every day is extremely important – and achievable.

  2. Practice positivity. One easy way to quickly attain a more positive perspective on life is through journaling.

  3. Steer clear of negativity.

  4. Leave the house.

Nearly 80 percent of people affected by autoimmune diseases are women; other chronic illnesses, from fibromyalgia to migraine, disproportionately affect women too.

Living with these diseases, which cause debilitating pain, fatigue, and other quality-of-life-robbing symptoms, is hard on anyone. Now add raising children, caring for other family members, managing a career, being part of community groups, and trying to carve out time for a healthy lifestyle to the mix. It’s a wonder that most women with chronic illness manage to get out of bed every day, let alone do it with a smile, determination, and grit to keep on swimming despite the endless obstacles life manages to throw their way.

Women coping with chronic illness are the definition of strength and power. But even the most strong women need inspiration and motivation every now and then to get through those trying moments.

Stay tuned to CoCI.

Together we are strong!!
